National History

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of nine (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions.

Local History

The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Columbus (NPHC-Columbus) is a local affiliate of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).  The NPHC of Columbus is composed of 14 local chapters:

NPHC of Columbus focuses on community service programming, professional leadership growth and combating socio-economical obstacles for the benefit of its members and the betterment of the African American communities where they live. These initiatives include providing programmatic thrusts that directly affect the lives of African Americans in the areas economic stability, achieving higher-level education, youth development, and community growth.
